Kick-off · Whitepaper Day
Brasas, cerveza & cypherpunks
On 31 October 2008 Satoshi Nakamoto sent the Bitcoin whitepaper to the cryptography mailing list. Eighteen years later we celebrate it the way we know best: around a barbecue, with the people who keep building.
It is also the first gathering on the road to BCC 2027 — come meet the team, past speakers and sponsors, and tell us what you want to see in April.
Why bcc8333?
Not your typical conference
After more than ten years of monthly Bitcoin meetups in Barcelona, some of the meetup founders decided to take the next step: a space for people from all over the world to learn about the topics that matter most — Bitcoin, privacy, nostr, energy, permaculture and self-sovereignty.
Barcelona, with its long history of anarchism and rebellion, is the perfect place for it. This is a gathering of people who want to learn from each other and build a better future.
We want people with little to no knowledge to come in, immerse themselves, and leave as authentic cypherpunks.
- [01]
Community first
Not about listening to someone on a stage — about building connections and inspiring each other to act.
- [02]
Hands-on learning
Talks, panels and workshops, technical and non-technical. Something for everyone, from first sats to running your own node.
- [03]
Epic celebration
Two intense days that end the way they should: a party with the whole community.
